Gliders

FMI purchased a Slocum glider in summer 2015, while the first research mission took place in May 2016 in Tvärminne field station. The glider measures temperature, salinity, oxygen,  chlorophyll, turbidity and organic carbon compounds (CDOM) in the water. The glider is equipped with a propeller for improved operability.
