Research vessels

FINMARI provides access to several research vessels operating normally in offshore or coastal northern Baltic Sea: research vessels Aranda, Aurelia, Geomari and Augusta. In addition, the hovercraft Saga allows all-year-round sampling in archipelago areas regardless of ice conditions. Each vessel has its characteristic domain of operation and capacity in terms of personnel and instrumentation, with their specific strengths and limitations.
