The new Consortium Manager position will be in charge of day-to-day management of FINMARI, including communications (well, a thorough facelift of these homebrewn web pages among them...) within the consortium, as well as in the wide national and international networks, stretching from research communities to infrastructure administrators, funding agencies, ministries, the European RI landscape, private sector actors and NGOs. This is a job for an experienced post-doc, networking skills are a prerequisite, passion and commitment to advance Finnish marine research facilities to the international top level are needed, and also fluency in Finnish is required as national networking and outreach are an elemental part of job description.

The Data stream manager will be in charge of data streams generated by all SYKE RI under FINMARI, their quality control and assurance, and the interfaces to national and European databases. A central part of the job is to participate in the R&D related to new data types generated by emerging automated instruments, research equipment integration, smart sensor networks, data communication solutions and machine vision applications. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves and hammer that code!
